Grillz in Tegel, Berlin
For decades Tegel just meant the airport. Since TXL closed in 2020, the name belongs to the lake again: the Tegeler See with its pleasure boats, the Greenwichpromenade along the shore and the little Humboldt family palace hidden in the woods.
Inland, the Borsig tower marks the old locomotive works, now a shopping centre, and the former airfield is slowly turning into a research and housing district.
Tegel is at the end of the U6, so a lot of clients from here prefer to meet one or two stops further in rather than travel right across the city.
Who books from here
Residents of Alt-Tegel and Borsigwalde, families from the lakeside streets and staff at the new tech campus.
