Grillz in Wedding, Berlin

People have been saying 'Wedding is coming' for twenty years. In the meantime Wedding has carried on being Wedding: busy Müllerstraße, the market on Leopoldplatz, a swimming lake at Plötzensee and some of the best Berlin rap ever to come out of a council block.

Grillz aren't a trend here; they're part of the look a lot of people grew up around. Requests from Wedding are often for bigger pieces — six or eight teeth on top, sometimes with a deep-cut finish or open windows so the natural tooth shows through.

The other half of our Wedding bookings come from the artists and students who've moved into the Sprengelkiez and around the old crematorium that's now the silent green arts space.

Who books from here

Young people from around Leopoldplatz and Soldiner Kiez, local rappers and DJs, and newer arrivals in the Sprengelkiez.

Rates are the same everywhere we work: sterling silver €80 per tooth, 14K gold €350 per tooth, white, yellow and rose gold priced alike. Plain pieces take 5–10 working days, gold and stone-set pieces 10–15 working days, counted from the impression and deposit. Rates per tooth

Asked in Wedding

How much is a six-tooth silver top?

Silver is €80 per tooth, so six teeth come to €480. In 14K gold the same set is €2,100.

What's an open-face cut?

The cap is cut away at the front so your real tooth shows inside a metal frame. It's priced the same per tooth.

Can I swim at Plötzensee with them in?

Take them out. Lake water, chlorine and grillz don't mix, and you don't want to lose one.
