Grillz in Prenzlauer Berg, Berlin
Prenzlauer Berg went from East Berlin squats to prams and organic bakeries in about fifteen years, and the jokes about it are older than most of the kids in Kollwitzplatz playground. Under the polish, though, there is still a creative streak: the Kulturbrauerei's clubs, the Sunday flea market and karaoke in Mauerpark.
Requests from here lean towards the subtle. White gold, a single canine, or one small VVS stone set flush into a front cap — something that catches the light at a dinner table without taking over.
We also hear from Prenzlauer Berg locals buying a piece as a gift, which we can do as long as the person receiving it comes along for their own impression.
Who books from here
Designers and freelancers around Helmholtzplatz, Mauerpark regulars, and people buying a first piece as a birthday present.
Meeting for the impression
We meet around U Eberswalder Straße or S Schönhauser Allee. The M10 tram also links straight across to Friedrichshain.
Rates are the same everywhere we work: sterling silver €80 per tooth, 14K gold €350 per tooth, white, yellow and rose gold priced alike. Plain pieces take 5–10 working days, gold and stone-set pieces 10–15 working days, counted from the impression and deposit. Rates per tooth
Asked in Prenzlauer Berg
Can I give grillz as a gift?
Yes, but the person wearing them needs their own impression. We can send you a quote to share, and they book the mould.
What's the most discreet option?
A single white-gold cap, or a moissanite stone in silver from €150 per tooth. Both read as jewellery rather than a statement.
Will it affect my speech?
A small piece barely does. Larger sets can feel odd for a day or two until your tongue gets used to them.
