Grillz in Kreuzberg, Berlin

Kreuzberg gave Berlin a lot of what the world now thinks Berlin is: squats, punk, Turkish-German rap, May Day street parties and a refusal to be told how to look. Kotti is still the loud, messy centre of it, with the elevated U1 rumbling over the roundabout.

Grillz have been part of the scene around Oranienstraße and the Wrangelkiez for years, worn by rappers, barbers and the kids who grew up watching them. Requests here are confident: full rows, mixed metals, a gold tooth in a silver set.

Further west, around Bergmannstraße and Viktoriapark, the mood is calmer and the orders are smaller — a single cap, often in rose gold.

Asked in Kreuzberg

Can I mix silver and gold in one set?

Yes. Each tooth is priced at its own metal, so a six-tooth silver set with two gold caps is simply added up per tooth.

Is rose gold the same price?

Yes. Rose, yellow and white gold cost the same at the same karat.

How long for a full gold row?

Gold pieces take 10–15 working days after your impression and deposit.
